사도신경.

I believe in God the father almighty,Make of heaven and earth,

전능하사 천지를 만드신 하나님 아버지를 내가 믿사오며,

and in Jesus Christ,His only Son our Lord,

그 외아들 우리주 예수 그리스도를 믿사오니,

who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,

이는 성령으로 잉태하사,

born of the Virgin Mary,Suffered under Pontius Pilate,

동정녀 마리아 에게 나시고 본디오 빌라도에게 고난을 받으사,

was crucified,dead,and burried,

십자가에 못 박혀 죽으시고 장사한지

The third day he rose again from the dead:

사흘만에 죽은자 가운데서 다시 살아 나시며:

He ascended in to heaven

하늘에 오르사

and sitteth on the right hand fo God the Father almighty,

전능하신 하나님 우편에 앉아 계시다가

from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead,

저리로서 산자와 죽은자를 심판하러 오시리라,

I believe The Holy Ghost,the Holy Catholic Church,

성령을 믿사오며,거룩한 공회와

the communion fo saints,the forgiveness of sins,

성도가 서로 교통하는 것과 죄를 사하여 주시는 것과

the resurrection of body,and the life everlasting. Amen.

몸이 다시 사는 것과 영원히 사는 것을 믿사옵나이다.아멘.

6.There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John.

7.He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe.

문법정리
though conj. ~이지만 ( =although)
though 절에서는 주절과 주어가 같을 때, 그 주어(대명사)와 be 동사는 종종 생략된다. 또 보어가 though 앞에 올 수 있다.
Though [he was] tired, he worked hard.
Millionaire though he was, he never let an opportunity slip.
